Sweden's Truls Moregard defeated Hugo Calderano, while Japan's Miwa Harimoto beat Chen Yi in the WTT Champions Macao 2026 finals

Sweden’s Truls Moregard and Japan’s Miwa Harimoto won the men’s and women’s singles titles at WTT Champions Macao 2026, which concluded yesterday, at the Macao East Asian Games Dome. 

Who won the men’s title at WTT Champions Macao 2026?

Moregard defeated Brazil’s Hugo Calderano 4-1 in the men’s singles final. The Swede took the opening two games 11-7 and 11-9 before Calderano responded with an 11-3 win in the third. Moregard then won the fourth and fifth games 11-8 and 11-9 to secure the title.

Moregard reached the final after a close 4-3 victory over Japan’s Tomokazu Harimoto in the semifinals. The match went to a deciding seventh game, which Moregard won 16-14. 

Who won the women’s title?

Miwa Harimoto beat China’s Chen Yi 4-3 in the women’s singles final. Chen won the first two games 11-7, 11-7, but Harimoto responded by taking the next three. Chen then forced a deciding game by winning the sixth 11-9 before Harimoto closed out the match 12-10 in the seventh. 

Harimoto had reached the final with a 4-1 win over China’s Chen Xingtong. Chen Yi defeated Japan’s Hina Hayata 4-3 in the other semifinal.
