The annual ALB “Asia 40 Under 40” accolade highlights rising legal talent throughout Asia, acknowledging both private practice lawyers and in-house counsel under the age of 40. Qualified in Macao, New York State, and the Greater Bay Area, Chui brings cross-jurisdictional expertise to his practice, focusing primarily on Macao financial law.

His advisory work spans commercial banks, insurers, and fund managers, covering complex transactions such as investment fund structuring, bond issuances, corporate mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings in the United States and Hong Kong, and financial institution licensing.

Educated at the Catholic University of Portugal and the University of Chicago Law School, Chui has actively expanded Lektou’s advisory remit across capital markets and cross-border finance. His professional portfolio includes acting as Macao counsel on major themed-bond offerings and securing early investment fund management licence approvals following the enactment of Macao’s updated Investment Funds Law.
