Young GBA entrepreneurs honoured in Hong Kong and Macao

The 7th Greater Bay Area (GBA) Outstanding Young Entrepreneur Award Ceremony was concurrently held in Hong Kong and Macao on 21 September 2026, with 95 GBA young entrepreneurs receiving honours for their contribution to the region’s development across various sectors.
Organised by the Guangdong-HK-Macao Bay Area Entrepreneurs Alliance, the awards selected its winners from a pool of over 1,000 applicants who underwent an independent review process conducted by multiple prestigious universities and media organisations in the GBA.

Who were some of the young GBA entrepreneurs awarded?
The Hong Kong event took place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Recipients of the headline Outstanding Young Entrepreneur awards included Ashley Dudarenok (艾熙麗), the founder and managing director of Alarice, a digital marketing agency that assists international firms to market themselves on Chinese social media.

Mariana César de Sá (沙欣賢), the founder and CEO of GBA English-language media organisation, Ruca Limited, which publishes The Bay, received a Cultural Innovation prize, while Max Poon (潘解頤), the CEO of prop-tech company, Owl Square Group, earned the Social Responsibility award.
Xiao Ning (肖寧), the general-manager of Shenzhen Jinghai Intelligent Computing Technology, was awarded a Sci-tech Innovation prize, with Mao Yu (毛宇), the general-manager of Guangzhou Peineng Biotechnology collecting the Business Service award, and Yang Jingguang (楊覲光), the co-founder and CEO of Specific AI, receiving the Entrepreneurship honour.
How many young GBA entrepreneurs from Macao were recognised?
A parallel ceremony was also held at the University of Macau’s main campus in Hengqin, with nine young GBA entrepreneurs from Macao earning awards for five of the six categories. Outstanding Young Entrepreneur award winners included Kuok Chi Va (郭子華), the founder and director of Bamu Catering Group; Ao Wai Keong (歐偉強), the chair of Alves Holdings Group; Chim Si Kuan (詹偲坤), the chair of Voyage International Company; Chan Chan Kit (陳振杰), the chair and founder of Shandong Extreme Vision Technology, and Wong Ngai Man (黃毅敏), the executive director of Batilo Group.
Meanwhile, the Best Business Service award went to Gao Ming (高明), the general-manager of Boss Translation Company Limited. The remaining winners included the CEO of Max AI Artificial Intelligence Technology Company, Max Chong (莊永康), for Best Sci-tech Innovation; Wang Peng (王鵬), the general-manager of Fumeichangqing Health Management (Zhuhai Hengqin) for Best Entrepreneurship, and Elvis Lei (李偉杰), the founder of Sem Sorriso Cultura e Criatividade Companhia, for Best Cultural Innovation.
On the sidelines of the ceremony, Gao told Macau Post Daily that the award recognised his company’s decade-long development, as well as his creativity, family and identity. The Boss Translation Company general-manager said he was looking to take advantage of Macao’s 1+4 industrial diversification strategy and opportunities for expansion.
Who attended the awards?
Various officials and business representatives attended the ceremonies in Hong Kong and Macao, bringing the total number of people who watched the event online and offline to more than 400,000, according to the organisers.
Although Hong Kong Chief Executive John Lee did not participate in either event in person, he delivered a video address in which he highlighted the importance of young people, describing them as a driving force for social progress and economic change.
Similarly, Macao’s Secretary for Economy and Finance, Ng Wai Han, said in a filmed speech that the government hopes young people would explore new opportunities that arise from Macao and Hengqin’s joint development, with the GBA’s integration providing youths with “a larger market, greater scope and broader opportunities.”
According to Alliance chairman Jonathan Choi Koon-shum, the awards have recognised almost 650 entrepreneurs across seven editions since the honours began in 2020.
