The Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) is introducing a new “Park & Visit” service that will make it easier for motorists from across the Greater Bay Area (GBA) to park their vehicles and enter Hong Kong for tourism purposes.
In a statement on Monday, the HKIA said the new scheme will open for application on 16 July, allowing eligible GBA motorists to drive to Hong Kong via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB) and park their vehicle in the airport’s automated car park before boarding a shuttle bus to clear customs at the HZMB’s Hong Kong Port.
The scheme itself is due to begin on 25 July, with the local government pointing out that it has plans to extend its coverage to all 21 cities in Guangdong by the first quarter of next year.
HKIA also announced that starting from next Monday (15 June), it would be expanding its pre-existing “Park & Fly” scheme to include all cities in the GBA.
First introduced in November 2025, Park & Fly currently only covers the five GBA cities of Guangzhou, Zhongshan, Zhuhai and Jiangmen and Macao. It allows eligible drivers from these areas to drive to HKIA’s automated parking lot via the HZMB, park in the facility and enter HKIA for their international flight without having to go through Hong Kong immigration.
The update to the Park & Fly initiative will see the remaining five GBA cities added to the list. They include Shenzhen, Dongguan, Huizhou, Foshan and Zhaoqing.

HKIA’s decision to expand the list of cities under Park & Fly comes after the Hong Kong government said it was allowing all eligible vehicles from the GBA cities to enter the city under its Southbound Travel for Guangdong Vehicles service.
