The group, which local media reported held a dinner on Tuesday to mark its launch, has announced an inaugural Macau Fitness Run Challenge at the Galaxy International Convention Centre on 20 and 21 February 2027. Hyrox said the planned race is not authorised.
Hyrox said it has already taken official steps to stop the group using its name.

“That Macau Fitness Run Challenge is not an officially affiliated Hyrox event, and the Hyrox Association of Macau is not authorised by us,” a senior Hyrox executive told the Post. “We have already engaged them to stop using the Hyrox name and branding.”
The paper reports that the association’s charter was filed with the Macao government in August, describing itself as a non-profit organisation set up for “promoting and popularising the development of Hyrox sports in the Macau region” and to “organise Hyrox competitions and related activities”.
Hyrox is a global fitness racing series that combines running with functional workout stations. An official race in the region is AIA Hyrox Hong Kong, scheduled for 7-10 January 2027 at AsiaWorld-Expo, and the brand lists sanctioned events on its website. It has not staged an official race in Macao.
