Sands China to celebrate the Parisian Macao’s 10th anniversary

On 13 September, the Cotai Strip will come alive as Sands China celebrates the Parisian Macao’s 10th anniversary, marking a decade since the French-themed integrated resort opened its doors in 2016. 

Since its inception, the destination has welcomed more than 100 million visitors, playing a role in Macao’s efforts to establish itself as an international centre for tourism.

Celebrating the Parisian Macao’s 10th anniversary through culture and cuisine

Headlining the celebrations is a series of weekend drone light shows running until 13 September, featuring 1,500 drones illuminating the night sky over the resort’s half-scale replica of the Eiffel Tower. Additionally, the resort has partnered with the classic French tale Le Petit Prince for property-wide themed installations, alongside a series of exclusive dining events featuring celebrity chefs at the newly opened Le Cristal Parisian.

The resort, which boasts 2,540 guest rooms, extensive meeting spaces, and the 1,200-seat Parisian Theatre, says it has consistently championed non-gambling experiences. Dr Wilfred Wong, executive vice chairman of Sands China, noted that the Parisian Macao’s 10th anniversary serves as a testament to the operator’s commitment to Macao’s economic diversification.

Over the past ten years, the resort has hosted several international acts, from the West End musical Thriller Live to the historic Crazy Horse Paris cabaret, while promoting local arts through exhibitions with the Macau Artist Society and other regional groups.

Since the debut of Sands Macao in 2004, Sands China has also invested heavily in the Cotai Strip, developing a massive interconnected cluster that includes the Venetian, the Plaza, the Four Seasons and the Londoner. Today, the operator offers over 10,800 rooms and suites, 1.6 million square feet of MICE facilities, and 160 dining establishments across its portfolio.
