As part of ‘Junho, Mês de Portugal,’ this year’s Gastronomy and Wine Festival kicks off on 8 June at the Clube Militar de Macau featuring a special menu by visiting chef Lídia Brás and sous chef Fernando Araújo. Running through 15 June, the event comes at a celebratory time for the iconic Praia Grande Avenue landmark, which recently earned an honourable mention in the Platinum Clubs of the World 2026 rankings.

On Monday evening, Sofitel Macau at Ponte 16 hosts its Portuguese cuisine and wine buffet. The occasion coincides with the 4th edition of the “Eat and Drink Portuguese Style” food route featuring 35 restaurants offering either a theme meal or a 10.6 percent discount in honour of the 10 June celebration, which runs until the end of the month.
The Rui Cunha Foundation hosts the debut of O Estúdio de Alexandre Marreiros – Dez Anos de Desenho e Pintura (The Studio of Alexandre Marreiros – Ten Years of Drawing and Painting) on 9 June.
Camões Day itself, 10 June, brings the official flag-hoisting ceremony at 9:30 am outside the Consulate General of Portugal in Macao and Hong Kong, followed by the annual pilgrimage to the Camões Grotto. A community reception is hosted that evening at the Escola Portuguesa de Macau.
On 11 June, Raquel Gralheiro’s painting exhibition opens at the Artyzen Grand Lapa Macau. Curated by Lina Ramadas, the show will run until 2 August. A seminar discussing the future of the Portuguese community in Macao follows on 13 June at the Instituto Internacional de Macau.
Rounding out the week, the Escola Portuguesa de Macau will host the Feast of Saint Anthony on 13-14 June, with Saturday’s programme running from 6:30 to 10 pm and Sunday’s from 2 to 6 pm.
